When he first addressed the world’s faithful from the balcony of St. Peter’s Basilica, Pope Leo XIV shared his dream for God’s People: synodal, moving forward, seeking peace and drawing close to those who suffer.
Together, we can bring this dream to life. Through our 2027 National Conference, the US Catholic Mission Association (USCMA) invites our members, Catholic leaders and all people committed to the mission of God to network and learn in ways that enable us to discern, imagine and build the Church our world needs today.
Conference begins at 3pm on Tuesday, March 2 and ends at 1pm on Thursday, March 4.
- Explore Magnifica Humanitas and how Pope Leo’s vision of “a Church that walks alongside humanity” enriches, challenges and guides the who, how and why of mission.
- Discern how the Church can take on the call in the 2026 Message for World Mission Day to communion and cooperation for the mission of God, “a mission born of love, lived in love, and leading to love.”
- Network and collaborate on strategies to engage and invite diverse voices, vocations and generations to learn, live and together proclaim the Good News through active involvement and support of mission efforts.
- Pray, worship and reflect in community with fellow leaders and ministers committed to living and proclaiming the Gospel in our world.

Speakers
Tracey Lamont, Ph.D.
Dr. Lamont serves as Director of the Loyola Institute for Ministry and Associate Professor of Religious Education and Young Adult Ministry at Loyola University New Orleans, where she holds the Marjorie R. Morvant Distinguished Professorship in Theology & Ministry. In addition to her teaching and scholarship, Tracey facilitates and engages in synodal listening processes with a variety of national and local communities.
Rev. Paul Lininger, OFM Conv.
A member of the USCMA Board of Directors, Fr. Paul serves as Director of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation for the Our Lady of Angels Province of the Conventual Franciscan Friars. A clinical psychologist, Fr. Paul served previously on the faculties of several universities and colleges and served for six years as the Executive Director of the Conference of Major Superiors of Men (CMSM).

The Spiritual Center is located on a 40-acre Carmelite Campus featuring a meditation garden with Stations of the Cross, the National Shrine and Museum of St. Thérèse of Lisieux, and a Carmelite Gift Shop. Conveniently located, the Spiritual Center is accessible by car/ride share from both O’Hare and Midway airports. Fifteen minutes from the Westmont Metro Station (green line to/from Chicago Union Station). The Spiritual Center offers 58 rooms – each with double occupancy capacity. Please register early so you and your companions receive priority accommodations before the Spiritual Center becomes unavailable due to sellout.

Additional rooms are available at the WoodSpring Suites Chicago/Darien – located 1.3 miles from the Spiritual Center by vehicle (non-walkable). USCMA will contact you, upon receiving your registration, if lodging is not available at the Spiritual Center upon receipt of your registration
