Dr. Tracey Lamont is Director of the Loyola Institute for Ministry and Associate Professor of Religious Education and Young Adult Ministry. She holds a M.A. and Ph.D. in Religion and Religious Education from Fordham University and specializes in curriculum development, youth and young adult ministry, and religious education. Before Loyola, Tracey was a teacher, a parish youth and young adult minister, Confirmation coordinator and adjunct professor.
Dr. Lamont is a member of the Religious Education Association and has presented nationally on young adult moral development, synodality, and pedagogical practices in Catholic education. Her current scholarship focuses on synodality, practical theology, and the opportunities and challenges that emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, present for ministry with young people and Catholic education.
From 2017-2020, Tracey served as a committee member for the National Dialogue on Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment and was a member of the USCCB National Young Adult Advisory Team. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the National Institute for Ministry with Young Adults (NIMYA) and now serves on its Board of Members. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the National Community of Catechetical Leaders (NCCL). In the summer of 2026, Dr. Lamont was invited to become a member of the International Youth Committee of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network.
