Global Mission Formation – Help Transform The Church!

The Church of the Sheaves: Equipping the Saints for Mission as Gift Exchange in the Catholic Church is a global initiative to form pastoral leaders worldwide in a renewed missionary paradigm centered on gift exchange, interculturality, and mutual reciprocity among the local Churches. Aligned with the needs and realities of our global mission community, this initiative equips the faithful—lay, consecrated, and ordained—to respond creatively and courageously to the cultural, demographic, ecological, and spiritual frontiers of our time.

We need your support! As part of our partnership on this initiative the USCMA is seeking to raise $150,000 to launch the project’s initial stages. Your support today helps:

• Send delegates from Africa, Asia and Latin America to a monumental conference in Rome. Occurring in conjunction with World Mission Sunday, this conference will gather the pastoral workers, theologians and academics contributing to this project to refine and present the initiative’s theological, pastoral and contextual components to officials at the Dicastery for Evangelization and the Holy Father himself.
• Facilitate consultation with pastoral workers across five continents. To ensure this initiative represents the diverse gifts, perspectives and needs of the global People of God, regional conferences will be held engaging communities in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America.
• Hire staff critical to ensuring the success of this initiative. Over 60 pastoral agents, theologians, academics and other leaders are contributing their time and expertise to this initiative, free of charge. Resources are needed to build the staffing support infrastructure which will translate our contributions into cutting-edge formational content for everyday ministers and communities.

Your contribution helps ensure that this project addresses global perspectives by subsidizing travel, room and board for delegates from the Global South.
