About Us

USCMA is a community of faith leaders engaged in networking, formation, and advocacy for God’s mission.

As people of faith, we are called to embody the love of God for all people and creation. USCMA members include religious congregations, lay associations, diocesan offices, parishes and individuals committed to living and proclaiming the Gospel through prophetic works of encounter, solidarity and pastoral accompaniment. We support their efforts by facilitating collaboration, fostering spiritual and professional growth, and promoting a culture of global, intercultural and social mission in the broader US Church.

• Networking – Virtual, regional and national gatherings which facilitate connection and collaboration among members and partners.
• Formation – Engaging and accessible formation opportunities which help members grow spiritually and professionally and engage with contemporary practical and theological mission issues.
• Advocacy – Raising global awareness and promoting concerns affecting the life and dignity of the people and communities our members accompany and serve in mission.

Our members seek out the most difficult places and circumstances, working alongside local communities to heal wounds, uplift human dignity and promote peace and justice. As an association and community, we strive to foster intercultural encounter and dialogue, promote global peace and justice, raise awareness of current trends in mission theology and practice, and enliven the US Church by sharing diverse mission experiences and perspectives.
