The Economy of Francesco 

An event was to take place March 26-28, 2020 on the “Economy of Francesco” but the organizers have postponed it to November 21st due to the pandemic.  

"We will not stop. The international crisis due to the coronavirus once again shows how everything is interconnected. In the light of this dramatic experience, the appointment you gave us appears even more urgent and prophetic" wrote the organizers to Pope Francis.  

"On our behalf,” the young people continue in the text sent to Fides by the press office of the Basilica of San Francesco, “we will multiply the commitment, integrate the themes, organize events and meetings in possible forms, involve other voices and sensitivities. Meeting will be even more beautiful, for us and for the world that now more than ever awaits a different economy, on a human scale." 

The event will be attended by young scholars and economic operators from 115 nations.
