Archbishop Gregory Aymond issued the following statement Monday night upon the U.S. Senate's 52-48 vote to confirm Metairie native Amy Coney Barrett as an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court. Barrett is the daughter of Deacon Michael Coney and his wife, Linda, who are members of St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Metairie.
